Ron Kero
Ron KeroPrincipal & Chief Executive
Prior to forming Ni2 Health in 2016, Ron was Vice President Shared Solutions for Vizient, with accountability for developing and/or managing innovative shared services programs and business assets, focused primarily in the areas of revenue cycle services, insurance & employee benefits, energy, & select operating efficiencies. Within each of these areas, his team was accountable for establishing enterprise strategy and managing the development of a comprehensive portfolio of programs which leveraged hospitals working together to create compelling value beyond what individual organizations could realize on their own.

Ron has thirty years of wide ranging healthcare management, consulting, operational, and new venture startup experience. His experience includes executive positions in hospital systems, ASC & physician practice management, consulting, new ventures, and business development. Prior to Vizient & VHA, Ron had full management accountability for two multi-specialty surgical groups with ASC’s, and was the founder of a consulting services company focusing on driving strategic alignment between medical centers and their specialty physician groups. Previously, Ron was also a co-founder of MedCath, with accountability for sales, business development, and financing activities, and was VP Business Development for Carolinas Healthcare System.

Ron holds a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Puget Sound, located in Tacoma, Washington. He also holds an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

For interests, Ron continues his longstanding passion for playing competitive soccer and is a Seattle Sounders season ticket holder. He is also the owner of a tire & service store.

Jason Adams

Jason is accountable for leading all Ni2 revenue cycle services development & client services delivery. Prior to forming Ni2 Health in 2016, Jason served as the Chief Operations Officer for Resolution Consulting, Inc. Jason’s early career started in the clinical setting as a Paramedic for a busy metropolitan EMS Provider in the greater Boston area. Jason subsequently held many leadership roles within the hospital environment, including President of a subsidiary company, Vice President, Director and Manager in the areas of Emergency Services, Patient Access, Corporate Compliance, Patient Financial Services, Payer Contracting, Health Information Management, Coding and Financial Reporting as well as global revenue cycle for multi-billion dollar health systems. Jason has led many revenue cycle performance improvement engagements for clients’ nationwide. His experience is within all segments of healthcare from small critical access hospitals, free standing community hospitals, large IDNs and academic medical centers. A brief list of accomplishments include the following:
  • Accelerated over $25 million in cash within a 7 month engagement during a full HIS conversion engagement.
  • Facilitated a complete Revenue Cycle redesign for a $1.5 billion health system while increasing the organizations overall net to gross and decreasing the systems cost to collect from 1.8% to 1.6%.
  • Lead and facilitated numerous HIS {EPIC} Revenue Cycle Risk Mitigation initiatives for pre and post-live conversions.
  • Increased net yield for a critical access facility by greater than 3% in a 12 month period through process optimization while leveraging the clients current patient accounting platform.

Jason holds an MBA with a Healthcare Concentration from Rivier College Graduate School of Business. Jason is a Board Certified Healthcare Executive and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Jeffrey T. Wendling, FACHE

A seasoned and effective healthcare leader with over 35 years of experience, Jeff has joined the Ni2 Health team after most recently acting as a business development contractor to Vizient (formerly VHA). Prior to starting his own healthcare consultancy in 2012, he was Senior Vice President/Executive Officer for the Michigan office of VHA and upon the consolidation of the Central and Michigan regions in 2007, he served as Vice President, Market Management for VHA Central where he was primarily responsible for relationship management among its Michigan members.

Before joining VHA, Jeff held several senior executive-level positions at Northern Michigan Regional Health System in Petoskey, Michigan (now McLaren Northern Michigan) over a nearly 20-year period, including President and CEO from 1990-2001. He also served in a variety of administrative capacities at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit from 1978-1982.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Hillsdale College and he holds a Master in Health Administration from Indiana University. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the boards of VHA Michigan, the Michigan Hospital Association and numerous other professional and civic organizations during his extensive career. He and his wife, Candice, have four adult children and live in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Jennifer Wexler

Jennifer joined Ni2 in 2019 when Ni2 acquired Eris Medical Technologies. Jen is responsible for leading the continuing development of the Ni2 charge capture technology platform, is a skilled clinician and is a nationally recognized thought leader for hospital charge capture optimization, including methodologies, correct coding, claim & medical record review & related CDM management.

Jen previously was a co-founder of Eris Medical Technologies in 2007, a specialized company helping hospitals & healthcare organizations optimize their charge capture activities. With Eris, she led the design, development & maintenance of a market leading charge capture technology software platform which continues to benefit many hospitals nationally. As a charge capture expert, Jen authored several whitepapers, and has been a frequent conference speaker on charge capture related topics such as “common CDM pitfalls”, “industry-standard charge capture models” & other middle revenue cycle topics. She also served as an RCM consultant to Eris hospital charge capture software clients, increasing net revenues by 2% – 5%. Jen also managed middle revenue cycle engagements including CDM, charge capture, pricing reimbursement & clinical operational audit reviews.

Prior to Eris, Jen established Revenue Integrity departments for several hospitals and was a national consultant for Deloitte Consulting where she helped clients strategically improve revenue cycle operations & bottom line net revenue improvement.

Kelly Bucci

Kelly joined Ni2 in 2019 when Ni2 acquired Eris Medical Technologies. Kelly is responsible for managing Ni2 charge capture engagement client relations, the development & maintenance of charge capture platform enhancements, and the roll-out of new related service offerings to clients.

Kelly was previously a co-founder of Eris Medical Technologies in 2007, a specialized company helping hospitals & healthcare organizations optimize their charge capture activities. With Eris, her primary focus was to create new charge capture technologies which would increase client net revenues by 2% – 5% and improve the efficiencies of overall charge capture workflows by up to 50% within the client organization. For one large multi-state health system, Kelly standardized the charge capture processes across all departments & hospitals which significantly increased revenues & reduced late charges. Kelly supported many Eris clients with middle revenue cycle consulting services, including health systems, small community hospitals & specialty physician practices.

Prior to Eris, Kelly was an RCM consultant for Deloitte Consulting with a specialization in RCM operations & management, comprehensive provider charge & compliance, pricing and payer reimbursement. Kelly is also a credentialled RHIT.

Anthony Amaya

Anthony is responsible for leading revenue cycle engagements as well as technology development and delivery at Ni2 Health. Prior to joining Ni2 Health in 2017, Anthony served in Healthcare Economics and Payor Contracting at Scripps Health. Anthony’s early career began in Strategy Consulting for a wide variety of clients ranging from consumer packaged goods to furniture as well as medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Anthony then focused his consulting expertise on Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consulting where he has served Hospitals, Physician Groups, Ancillary Providers, Payors, and Employer Groups through revenue cycle operational improvements, EMR conversions and optimizations, negotiations, strategic advisory, as well as health plan and benefit designs. In addition to his Revenue Cycle Consulting experience, Anthony has served directly with Healthcare Systems in Corporate Finance, Strategy and Analytics, Healthcare Economics, and Payor Contracting. He has also directly managed Accounts Receivable and Credit Strategy. Throughout his career, Anthony has been dedicated to improving operations and growing revenue for healthcare systems.

Anthony has led many revenue cycle engagements for clients nationwide and is experienced with all segments of healthcare providers ranging from critical access hospitals to large IDNs and academic medical centers. Anthony holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management as well as a BBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Anthony is also a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.

Mike Ronning

Mike has nearly 30 years of experience in health care administration, accounts receivable management, managed care contracting, and revenue cycle outsourcing. He possesses expertise in all aspects of revenue cycle management including patient access, hospital business services, and CBO operations. He has restructured revenue cycle departments, led turnaround engagements, managed onshore and offshore delivery operations, and mentored numerous staff and leaders.

Most recently, he served as VP RCM Operations for Atos, an IT and digital transformation company. He has also worked as VP of Operations and business development for Financial Corporation of America, VP of Operations for TRIAD a revenue cycle services company and as an Associate VP for Perot Systems revenue cycle group.

He has served in leadership positions with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, HCA, and Texas Children’s Hospital. Mike is a graduate of Providence College (BS) in Health Services Administration and also holds a Master of Health Administration degree from Saint Louis University. He is an active member of the HFMA and speaks periodically at local and regional HFMA and AAHAM meetings.

Nancy Glidden

Nancy joined Ni2 in 2019 to add the perspective of a longstanding hospital Chief Financial Officer to the team. Nancy’s role at Ni2 is to leverage her hospital CFO experience to support and optimize Ni2 revenue cycle and expense optimization client engagements. Nancy also has primary accountability for managing the day-to-day activities of Ni2 expense optimization engagements.

Prior to joining Ni2, Nancy was most recently CFO at Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft Maine. In addition to traditional CFO accountabilities, including oversight of accounting, budgeting, reimbursement & business analytics functions, Nancy’s wide-ranging role also included managing EMR & business system conversions, merger planning, HIPAA compliance, APCs, Critical Access Hospital conversion, ICD-10 & charge master maintenance, service line analysis, revenue cycle process improvement and financial planning & implementation. Overall, Nancy has a 39 year financial leadership track record of guiding small hospitals, with the last 22 years in the CFO role leading several small hospitals. Nancy’s undergraduate training was in information systems, and she maintains a special interest in hospital IT services delivery. Throughout her career, Nancy has enjoyed mentoring her teams and helping others understand complex information and analytical challenges.

Nancy is a lifetime native of Maine, and is actively involved in community events, Rotary clubs and serves on several boards. Nancy’s favorite activities are to spend time with her grandchildren and travel for good music and theatre.
